TOPIC: Cant get it working
#131
Cant get it working 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I started out trying to get the module to look like the Jomsocial one, messing about with template files etc, like described in the other topic.

I couldnt get it to work, so now I will settle for the built in template, but that does not work either. I have tried to re-install the module, to make sure the files and pictures are in place, but the only thing I see (as guest) is the login fields, no styling at all.

Any ideas what to do? The template file is set as frontpage.guests.home and the example file is in the template folder (JS default as well as the template folder).

The module class suffix does not work either by the way. The module title takes after the Joomla template, but the suffix has no effect it seems

A bit of trial and error, at I got it working almost

However, as you can see on the attached picture, its kind of messed up:

- The login button is broken. Is some files filling?
- The module is taking all of the templates width, pushing the other module all the way out to the right.
- The Module class suffix does not work. I did apply the same suffix as the module on the right.

Module class suffix is going to work like any other module, so I'm wondering if the fact that it's not being picked up and that it's pushing the other position to the side might be as a result of your template not liking part of the module's CSS?

Can you give me a URL to your site? I'd like to take a look at the module in use and use FireBug to see what the CSS is doing. I suspect that might shed some light on the issue.

Sure, here you go:

About the suffix, its probably the template, because its also a problem with other modules

An update:
- Suffix issue is indeed the template. I moved the module to another position, and its fine now.
- No problem with the pushing of the other module. Guess this is also caused by the template.

But when using the template file frontpage.guests.home the page goes blank. This is no problem, as the suffix styling is actually quite nice, so the module built stylings are not needed after all
